Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 5, 2026
This policy explains what information BMP Research LLC collects through this website and our iPhone, iPad, and Mac applications, and how we handle it.
The short version
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use advertising networks, ad tracking, or cross-app tracking of any kind. Our applications are designed to keep the content you create on your own device wherever that is technically possible. Beyond that content, our apps may send us diagnostic and usage information to help us find defects and understand which features are actually used, as described below.
Not every app collects the same things. The App Privacy section of an app's App Store listing is the authoritative statement of what that particular app collects.
Information we collect
Content you create in our apps
Data you enter into our applications is stored locally on your device. If you enable Apple's iCloud sync, that data is synchronized between your own devices through your personal iCloud account, which is controlled by you and governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to the contents of your iCloud account.
Information you send us directly
If you email us for support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to respond to you and to diagnose the issue you reported, and we retain support correspondence only as long as it remains useful for that purpose.
Diagnostic and usage information
We collect diagnostic and usage information to find and fix defects and to understand how our apps are used. This reaches us through one or both of the following channels, depending on the app.
Through Apple
If you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers in your device's privacy settings, Apple may send us aggregated crash logs and performance data through App Store Connect. These reports come to us from Apple in a form that does not identify you personally. You can turn this off at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
Directly from the app
Some of our apps report diagnostic and usage information directly to us. Depending on the app, these reports are received either by systems we operate ourselves, or by an established third-party service that processes the reports on our behalf and under contract. Either way the information is used only for the purposes described here, and a report may contain:
- error and crash details, including the error message and the stack trace showing where in the app it occurred;
- basic usage events, such as that a feature or screen was used, and performance measurements such as how long an operation took;
- the app version and build number;
- the device model and operating system version;
- general device state, such as available memory and storage;
- a randomly generated installation identifier, specific to that installation of that app, which is reset if you delete and reinstall the app;
- the network (IP) address the report was sent from.
These reports are not configured to include your name, email address, precise location, the content you create or store in our apps, or information about other devices on your network. We use this information only to fix defects and improve our apps. We do not use it for advertising, to build profiles, or to track you across other apps or websites.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple. We never receive your payment card details, billing address, or Apple Account credentials. Apple provides us only aggregate sales reporting.
This website
This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no advertising or analytics scripts, and does not attempt to identify visitors. Our hosting provider records standard server access logs, which may include IP addresses, for security and operational purposes.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve our applications.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To diagnose crashes, defects, and performance problems.
- To understand which features are used, so we can decide what to build and what to fix.
- To comply with legal obligations that apply to us.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
Sharing
We share personal information only in these limited circumstances: with service providers who operate infrastructure on our behalf — such as our email, hosting, and any diagnostics provider we use — and only to the extent needed to run that service; when required by law or valid legal process; and to protect the rights, safety, or property of BMP Research LLC or others.
These providers act on our instructions, are bound by contract to protect the information, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, then delete it. Diagnostic and usage reports are kept on a limited retention schedule and are automatically deleted when it expires. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect the information we hold, though no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and California have these rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA respectively.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Children
Our applications are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International users
BMP Research LLC is based in the United States. If you use our apps or contact us from outside the United States, any information you send us — including diagnostic and usage reports — will be processed in the United States by us and by any service providers described above, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
